Papasavvas Looking for a Strong End to Season

LOVELAND, Ohio – USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire travels to the Pacific Northwest this weekend for the season's final rounds at the flat and fast Portland International Raceway. Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) driver Evagoras Papasavvas is looking to build on his string of good results to end the season strong, entering the event fourth in the championship and still with a mathematical chance to take the title.

Papasavvas has good momentum heading into the season’s final weekend, having scored two wins in the last five rounds. His first win of the season came at his home track, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and he backed that up with another win last time out on the Streets of Toronto.

“We’ve scored two wins in the last two race weekends, and I’m hoping to continue that streak this weekend,” Papasavvas explained. “We’ve been quick throughout the season, especially recently, and I think we can score at least one – if not three – more wins.”

This weekend, Papasavvas is looking to be quick and consistent.

Papasavvas added, “We’ve had weekends where we’ve had great pace but no results to show for it. I need a solid weekend of finishes and luck to be on my side, but in racing, anything can happen. I know we’ll have the speed to fight at the front, I want to make sure I’m able to fight up front in all of the final three races.”

Papasavvas, alongside the rest of the USF2000 competitors, will take to the 1.964-mile, 12-turn road course Thursday for a Test Day before Friday morning’s only practice session. Qualifying and race one will also take place Friday afternoon, with race two set for Saturday morning. The USF2000 season will come to a close with race three on Saturday afternoon.
