TJ Speed Motorsports looks to bring home some hardware from the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire season finale at Portland International Raceway.PITTSBORO, Ind. – It is the last event on the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire calendar as teams and competitors head to Portland International Raceway this weekend. Looking to close the season strong, TJ Speed Motorsports will bring Liam Sceats and Cooper Becklin as they look to make the most of the last two races of the season and bring home more hardware.
In their last outing in Toronto, TJ Speed had a solid weekend, with Becklin earning two ninth-place finishes and Sceats bouncing back from an incident in race one to finish on the podium in the second wheel-to-wheel race.
“Toronto was a good weekend for us overall,” Team Owner Tim Neff said. “We showed strong speed throughout the weekend and brought home a podium and a pair of additional top-10 finishes. I think our good form in Toronto gives us some momentum that will help us finish the season in the strongest way possible.”
Throughout the season, the Aussie-spirited team has achieved outstanding results, and Sceats and Becklin have both made impressive progress in their rookie seasons.
“I’m proud of what we as a team have accomplished this season, and I’m hoping we can bring home some more great results this weekend in Portland,” Neff expressed. “Liam and Cooper have also made great progress in their time with us this season. It’s been exciting to watch them grow, and I think they can both have great ends to their rookie seasons this weekend.”
The USF Pro 2000 field will first take to the 1.964-mile, 12-turn road course on Friday morning for the final practice session of the season. Qualifying and race one are set to take place Friday afternoon, and the season will come to a close with race two Saturday afternoon.
