USF2000 race winner moves up in 2025
With the 2025 USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire season set to kick off in just under five months’ time, TJ Speed has confirmed their first driver for the approaching season. Leveling up from USF2000 to USF Pro 2000, multi-time race winner Evagoras Papasavvas will transition to TJ Speed, the official Driver Development program of the HMD Motorsports INDY NXT effort. Evagoras will set his sights on the USF Pro 2000 Rookie of the Year and Championship honors when the season commences in St. Petersburg.
“This is a big step for me and my career,” stated Papasavvas. “I look forward to a new beginning with a new team, new car and a new series, and with a Driver Development program that has a direct line to INDY NXT with HMD Motorsports. I am anxious to get going with my first test in a few short weeks and can’t help but look forward to my first race in USF Pro 2000.”
“Evagoras is a natural talent and displayed that in USF2000,” added TJ Speed Owner Tim Neff. “He was on the podium countless times in 2024, won races, and was in the championship fight until the end. As a team, we are excited to welcome Evagoras as the first driver to join us for the 2025 season.”
Earning two wins, eight podium results and a pair of pole positions in 2024, Evagoras brings both a drive to win, experience and success to TJ Speed as the first driver confirmed for 2025.
Papasavvas continued, “2025 can’t come soon enough. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped get me here today, as well to Jay Howard and his program for giving me a chance to showcase what I can do behind the wheel of a racecar. Let’s get 2025 started.”
Papasavvas will officially begin the build-up to his 2025 season on November 26 and 27 with a test at Barber Motorsports Park.
