Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - Pabst Racing has announced the signing of 17-year-old Florida native Michael Costello for the 2025 USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire. Costello comes to Pabst Racing for his rookie season in the USF Pro 2000 Championship after previous experience in the 2024 USF2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire and the FIA F4 US Championship in 2023.

Costello’s racing career started at the age of 7 in karts. He competed internationally and was a part of the well-known karting team, Team Benik. In 2023, he was selected as the first American driver for Fernando Alonso’s A14 driver management program.

For 2025, Costello will pilot the Pabst Racing Tatuus USF-22 #20 machine for 2025 with sponsorship from Proguard Warranty, EDA Eyewear and Race Suit Valet.

In his rookie USF2000 season, he scored two podiums plus a race win. He expressed a desire to continue on that path as he moves up to USF Pro 2000 for 2025.

“My goals for the 2025 season is to challenge for race wins and the championship.” Said Costello. “My prospectus for my first year in USF Pro 2000 is quite promising. I had a strong second half of the USF2000 season scoring podiums and a win. I feel I have the skill and the desire to be up front.”

The soon to be 18-year-old is a 12th grade student at On Track School which is an online school designed for athletes. His hobbies include fishing, hanging out at the beach, working out and cooking.

Costello marks the team’s third and final USF Pro 2000 driver announcement. Team owner Augie Pabst is optimistic about this signing and looking forward to seeing great results from his drivers.

“Michael was a tough competitor for us in the 2024 USF2000 championship,” said Pabst. “I’m confident he will be a front runner in USF Pro 2000 with us in 2025.”

Right after the new year, the team will continue its off-season testing program prior to an official series ‘Spring Training’ at NOLA Motorsports Park and the first race of the season in St. Petersburg.
