Karting frontrunner excited to join USF Pro Championships in 2025

ORLANDO, FL – Zanella Racing is pleased to announce its first driver for the 2025 USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire. Surrey, British Columbia’s Ty Fisher will make his USF Juniors debut with the team next year following a series of impressive and successful development years in American karting. The 13-year-old frontrunning karter will turn 14 before the end of the calendar year and he is primed and ready to make his full-time move to open wheel formula car racing with the ultimate goal of developing a career in Formula 1. The Canadian has been logging significant track time in the team’s Tatuus JR-23 race car and they have high expectations.

“We were extremely impressed with Ty from the moment he first got in the car,” enthused Naka Zanella, Team Owner. “He is very easy to coach, and his discipline will undoubtedly lead him to success. I have very high expectations for the 2025 season.”

Over the past three years, Ty has become a top driver on the national karting scene in both the United States and Canada in various categories. This year, he scored the KA100 Junior title in the Stars Championship program and then earned a huge victory in the prestigious IAME USA Grand National Championship event at Trackhouse Motorplex in Mooresville, NC in September.

Fisher also finished fourth overall in the KA100 Junior category on the SKUSA Pro Tour and paired this effort with a strong sixth in the X30 Junior class. The young Canadian also campaigned in the United States Pro Kart Series and finished in the top-10 in the X30 Junior class despite missing the final event.

Back home in Canada, he won the Canadian Open in the Rotax Junior MAX category and earned a spot on Team Canada at the Rotax Grand Finals, which took place in Italy. Most recently, Fisher is coming off a stellar performance this past weekend at the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas where he was in contention for two wins, ultimately scoring his best-ever finish at the event with an impressive second in KA100 Junior. He also finished 10th in X30 Junior with the fastest lap of the race. It was a breakthrough year, for certain.

“I’ve already completed some test days with the team at VIR, and I really enjoyed the car and working with the team,” Fisher enthused. ‘It was really fun and the team is amazing. I am very excited for 2025.”

As Zanella Racing prepares to enter its second season in the USF Juniors program, they are deep into their off-season testing program and will also announce two additional drivers shortly. The team has also purchased a fourth car and drivers interested in joining the team or testing with Zanella Racing this winter can connect via email at info@zanellaracing.com.
